Remington 760 25-06

Post by je6587 »

Does anyone have any information on a remington 760 chambered in a 25-06. I picked up a sale bill the other day for an auction and there is a Remington 760 25-06 custom. I was wondering if this was actually chambered or if it is a custom make from the custom shop. Any prices?
Thanks

Nope! If it in fact a 25-06 it was a custom re-barrel. 12 calibers in all were produced in the 760. 222, 223, 243, 244, 6mm, 257 Roberts, 270 Winchester, 280 Remington, 300 Savage, 308 Winchester, 30-06 Springfield, and 35 Remington according to Remington.

Grice Gunshop is largest in Pennsylvania. Nearly every year, they contract with Remington to have a certain special run of rifles built. 7600 has a big following in the Keystone State with many collectors. This is a common model Grice offers with custom chamberings and adornments.

7600 in 25-06, 7mm-08, 300 Savage, 280, and 35 Remington have been marketed by Grice in recent years yet never offered in the Remington catalog. I've handled their 25-06 offerings featuring grey laminated stock or maple stock. Contact them for current items for sale.
