Remington bolt action sporting models

Post by Tony Kastella »

Very new member. My interest is to collect one example of every Remington sporting bolt action made. Naively I thought the 721/722, 725, and 700 were it. Now i know there is the 30 Express, and 720 both based on the 1917 Enfield. What else would be considered a bolt sporting model? Perhaps the Remington-Keene of the 1870's? Anyone know of a complete collection to go admire? thanks

You have a pretty long list in the .22 section alone. Centerfires you have what you listed plus 600s, 660, 788, the 03 A3, , 40x, Model 30, Model 30 express,Model 610, Model 611, When would you want me to stop. If you collected one of everything you would have a nice collection. Good luck and I hope you accomplish this. I would like to see it.

Remington600, thanks for bringing me back to earth. I have been so focused on the Bolt action center fires built before 1962, I neglected to think of the rim fire bolts and all of the other fine semi's, pumps, and single shots. I will stay focused on my little niche. I often wonder what it is like to fire one of your 600's in a Magnum caliber. It is a nice looking firearm with the ventilated rib.

This will start alot of arguments, but honestly tell me a better bolt action hunting rifle. The 6.5 and the 350 is all you need for ANYTHING in this country. And with good bullet placemant anything in the world.
