Model 550-1 Help Please

Post by Jakebrake »

I have one of these and it is missing some pieces. I can't find a serial number. Gone is what I will call the rear receiver plug (for lack of a better term), some action springs (?) and the blade under the rear sight. Can anyone recommend a place for the repair/inspection, or a source for an exploded diagram and parts? Thanks in advance!!!

I just sold my 550-1, it did not have a serial number, as it was pre-1967, and did not require one. (I think 1967 was the year ATF passed that law). The rear sight ladder should be very easy to find @ a gun show, I'd check w/ Numrich Arms (e-gun parts, as the previous person advised), or check on Gunbroker for the parts. They should be pretty reasonably priced. I liked the 550-1, as you could fire short, long, and long rifle interchangably. I have found they are very finicky and jam easily when they are not clean. If you are interested, I have the original owner's manual for the 550-1. Drop me a line if you are interested.
