Model 121 Help

Post by parkisaac »

Good Day! I have a 121 with what has an LP on the barrel. Hovever, in front of that it appears to have a double stamp of a 7 or an upside down L. I'm not certain. Receiver is marked with 606XX. This can't be a Fieldmaster from 1923, can it?

Thanks!

Sorry for sounding so Dumb on the previous post! I've had this rifle for many years now, and it's one of my favorites for cheap shooting pleasure. Someone asked how old it was the other day, and I didn't have a clue.

Sounds like you have a fieldmaster from 1942. If the stamp is L L, it was made in Feb 1942. The M/121 was made from Sept 1936 to 1954. Slightly over 200,000 were made. GREAT RIFLE!!!!!
