Anyone know the source of the early 700 varmint barrels? I have a 7/08 with a heart stamp on side of barrel. This is one of the early varmint rifles.
Did Remington use same barrels on the 40X?
apreciate any infotmation

A heart on the side of the barrel does not mean its a heart barrel. Thats just a gallery stamp that represents an employee at Remington. They were alot more technical with the 40x barrels then the standard varmint barrels.
