A friend and I were discussing fluted cylinders on Remmie large frame revolvers, other than Belt models. Has anyone either seen a fluted revolver, or read about a confirmed fluted revolver?
Don Ware's book does briefly discuss and picture a Beals Navy with a fluted cylinder, and I saw a fluted NMA at the Vegas show a few years ago, but are there others? Ware says the Beals was a one off sent to the USN for comment.
Thanks,
Daniel
Fluted cylinders on NMA or NMN revolvers
Re: Fluted cylinders on NMA or NMN revolvers
Hello Daniel,
No.... #11352 is the only one I have ever see and I didn't know another one was existing..
Mine is serial number 12245 and have a plain (round) cylinder.
I guess they were too complex and expensive to be manufactured during that time..
Can I ask you what was the serial number of the one that you see at the Vegas Show?
Thank You,
karu
