I have a metal tin 32 3/4" x 10" that reads "Remington Chain Saws with Remington Roller-Bearing Nose For Fastest Cutting Power. Du Pont label is also shown. The sign belonged to my grandfather, an avid collector. I am trying to find out what the history of the sign is. I understand that there was a short period of time when Remington manufactured chain saws and I assume this was displayed during that time. I have been unable to find other Remington/DuPont signs on the internet but I haven't been able to find this one. Does this mean it is rare? I also found information about a Firearm and Tackle memorabilia price guide by John Delph, however I have not been able to get a copy to see if there is any information about the chain saw advertising.
Along bottom of the sign reads "Remington Arms Co"
Thanks for any information!
